Welcome to MILE

MILE - The Multimedia Initiative for the Language of English was established to eliminate language barriers and help students overcome problems with the primary language of the university while having fun, living the language rather than learning it.

Our Events

Living English

Here is the place where one builds their courage & confidence to communicate in English, the fun way. If you’re trying to break away from the fear of using the language, come & have some fun!

MILE Drama

The celebration of Language, Creativity and Culture goes to new heights with MILE’s Drama. Our previous work includes The Merchant of Venice, Bonnie and Clyde and The Lion King

Prom Night

MILE Prom Night has every bit of fun to offer you. Bring a date! Bring your friends! Bring your squad! and Join us on this night filled with food, drinks, performances, prizes and good old retro music.

Sonaré Night

It’s a relaxing event where everyone can showcase their talent. In other words, it’s like an open mic session. Bring your friends along, bring your music, your poems. Don’t shy away from us!

Ghost House

The most terrifying experience. Conceived of and created by MILE, a hardcore terror fanatic, it employs best quality props and effects, and it gets inside your head in ways too scary to describe.

Our Story

Founded on 12 July, 2010, the club was established to eliminate language barriers and help students overcome problems with the primary language of the university while having fun, living the language rather than learning it. The club is popular for its use of the theme of Pirates and Gypsies; the Living English Programme as well as the annual MILE Drama, Costume Party, Stand-Up Comedy Night, Sonare (the Poetry and Music Night), and more!
